We went for all you can eat tonight and the food was yummy! The lil chicken sliders, ribs, sesame noodles and brownie was our faves! Also guac was seasoned to perfection! Also dunno how the falafel was cooked but it was so yum and crispy!!! The portions are kinda on the small side so definitely recommend taking advantage of the fact it’s all you can eat, and go when your super hungry to get your moneys worth! But also it’s good with the small portions because you don’t get filled up on one thing and get to try everything!! We all left feeling full and satisfied!! Our waitress was lovely aswell!! We wanted to try somewhere new in Rotorua so glad we found this cute little place, will definitely they be back for their ribs and brownies so fricken yummm!!! Thanks guys!! ~ Dallas A

We came in on a Thursday night. Excellent atmosphere and friendly manager. He seated us in the back bar and we got some drinks. The mocktail he made for my friend was excellent. We ordered mussels for a starter and then I got the lamb shank and she had the pork ribs. Lamb shank did not come with the advertised cranberry but instead had Morrocan spices and was in a kind of curry sauce. Although this was delicious I was surprised by the unexpected taste. Ahkil was an excellent host and has a talent for mixology. Dessert was okay and I think the highlight was the conversation and atmosphere. Dieses Restaurant hat die besten bbq ribs der welt!! Super service! ich hatte einen moktail mit ginger beer und zitrone dieser hat perfekt geschmeckt. We went to The Rusty Bros for dinner last night on a whim as it had an epic sounding Meat Feast platter on the menu! We were greeted by a lovely smiley waitress who was super attentive all evening. We had a few drinks while waiting for some others to join us....side note the Passionfruit Bliss cocktail is so yum. Once we ordered our tables food, it was somewhat prompt. Let's just say we were not disappointed, out came a beautifully presented, hot, fresh, hugely generous platter & gorgeous side salad. Everything was delicious!! The others at the table ordered the steak, vegan nachos, and the lamb shank, and all cleaned their plates and said how insanely good everything was, I think the lamb shank devourer was highly impressed. While it wasn't the most fantastic night to be out (raining) we had a lovely time outside under the front deck with the heaters above us, and the service was fantastic! We were a group of friends visiting Rotorua for a trip and tried several restaurants, but honestly the food didn’t impress us much. Then we found The Rusty Bros and it completely changed our experience! The food was fresh, full of flavor, and easily the best dinner we had in Rotorua. We even hosted a birthday celebration function here, and the team arranged everything perfectly. Amazing atmosphere, great cocktails, and very tourist-friendly service. If you’re travelling and looking for the best restaurant and function venue in Rotorua, The Rusty Bros is a must-visit! ~ Kashish B

We visited rotorua for a holiday and were looking for a good restaurant and we happened to visit rusty bros. They have an elaborate menu. We got to choose from a lot of items. We totally loved the food, ambience and their service. We visited rusty bros all 3 days during our stay because we loved the food so much. The cheese garlic bread and prawns was absolutely delicious. Even the pizza was so good and the bread board was equally good. And the hot mocha was amazing too. We definitely recommend rusty bros. If you are in rotorua it's a must visit for some amazing scrumptious food. ~ Amrita P

Just AMAZING!! We went with our Team to celebrate end of year Chritmas party. Absolutely vibrating atmosphere with great selection of food and drinks. We organised some fun activity in the garden with live music. This place is huge and can hold upto 300+ guests. Amazing place for a small to the large group, either dine-in or to organise any functions from corporate/ private or a Wedding. Highly recommened and must visit place. Posting belatedly. We recently had my son’s 14th birthday party at The Rusty Bros Rotorua, and the experience was absolutely outstanding. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely made the day feel special for my son and his friends. A special shout-out to Kosh, who went above and beyond to make sure the kids (and adults) were looked after the entire time. His friendly approach and attention to detail made the celebration run smoothly and stress free. My son even got a special gift. Highly recommended! 💯 ~ N N

We were in for Sunday breakfast, to start the service was friendly, and the coffee was awesome. Then the food came out and it just kept the standard really high. So often when places do ciabata it's dry, way too hard but not here. I got the dukkah scramble. Everything from the toast to the texture of the eggs, seasoning and the little pops from the feta was awesome. My husband got the rusty breakfast, eggs cooked perfectly, he was super happy too. Really recommend, great, relaxed vibe. Exactly what was needed for a lazy Sunday morning ~ Siobhan C

I left with a big, delicious food baby. The service and food were excellent. Servings were generous, flavours were great and staff were very willing to please. I was glad to see a full section of vegan starters & mains on the menu - that's what drew me there in the first place. There was a sticker on the window stating "breastfeeding welcome". We sat outside because the weather was nice, so we can't comment on the acoustics. Very happy with our visit! ~ Natalie B

Came in again tonight for dinner and the lovely (manager) not sure of his name. Recognized us as soon as we walked in and started making conversation it's a shame hes leaving soon he has set the standards high. Again a lovely meal will be back again soon. Open a branch in Auckland... When I come down from auckland I love coming in for a decent well priced meal. Staff are lovely and talkative which isn't very common now days. Really good food, and friendly staff. They had a private gathering going on in the garden bar, but still managed to be tentative and welcoming. The nacho salsa was a tad sweet for my taste, but that didn't keep me from enjoying the unique flavor. I wouldnt shy away from trying it, but I would have preferred more savory salsa. That is 100% a preference of my palette. The chicken meat was very tasty, and the chips were perfectly crispy. ~ Derrick H

Emailed in advance asking if they could seat us to watch the Australian football grand final on Sky Sports. On the night they were incredibly accommodating to the six Aussies in the venue, despite the fact that the Bledisloe Cup was also on, they had a room full of mystified locals, and I’m not sure they realised just how interminably long an AFL game is. Outstanding service, went above and beyond all night. Food was also excellent. ~ Simon P

We went in for breakfast. Atmosphere was fine a little too quiet for me but not an issue because we also love low key places. It wasn't busy so that was a plus for us. We ordered the eggs bene, berry pancakes & 2 mocha. The coffee was amazing...& we love a good coffee. There was a little bit of a wait for our meals however the presentation & taste was amazing!! $60 for everything. We'll be going back to try other dishes too. ~ Puti M

Absolutely loved our evening at The Rusty Bros. The back garden atmosphere was magical, the cocktails were top tier, and the house lager was a total standout. I had the lamb shank which was melt in your mouth perfection, and my husband couldn’t stop raving about the ribs. The service was warm and welcoming, and the heater above our table made the chilly night feel extra cozy. We will definitely be back. ~ Levie D

Last night I had one of the best meals in a long time.We all had the fettuccine, it was absolutely delicious.I was pretty hungry it's been a stressful 2 weeks.They talk about soul food, I really believe that last night's meal with good friends of mine was a healing experience.Friendly, fast service.I booked via Rusty brothers website, had to rebook and make changed and they were very accommodating. ~ Melissa H

We did not to know what to expect upon arrival. But from start to finish it was an amazing dining experience. As someone who suffers from an allergy to nuts it was a relief to have staff so attentive to my needs. Food was full of flavor, fresh and beautifully presented. Last night we had the pleasure of dining at Rusty Bros with a large group of 25. Although we expected a bit of a wait, the meals were well worth it. The restaurant is incredibly spacious, especially out the back making it perfect for private functions or gatherings of all sizes. We also heard the front area is being upgraded, which is exciting. This entire building is so beautiful the staff was amazing. The food even better. We picked this restaurant cause of a buddy's nickname and it exceeded all of our expectations we were seated in the back room and it was a rainy day out. Perfect temperature inside with the right amount of noise from outside the birds were singing. I would absolutely come here again if I could. ~ Debbie K

This is the first time we have been here since change of ownership. Our breakfasts were all great, Moroccan scrambled eggs delish, so on toast again delicious, waffles very nice, big breakfasts were both tasty and yum. Coffee also excellent. Staff were friendly, approachable and professional. Their menu had a few more choices we would like to have do will be back ~ Roslyn F
